About the next update...
UPDATE: Sad news.
I've promised that the next update to the game will be big, but let's talk in detail right now... Things have been going slowly because I can't set the scope right, and also because of some personal issues, but I'm on track in finishing things soon...
I've already mentioned some things that will change in one of the previous Developer's Diaries, but let's have a quick recap:
- New quests for Act I.
- Some new mechanics mentioned in DDs (e.g. passives).
- Some visual improvements (Water reflections, pawsteps on the sand).
Aside from that, there have been other improvements planned...
New art!
I was honoured to be contacted by a really awesome artist, who goes by the nickname Skelosfangs, who offered her help with the game's artwork. She has made a ton of new, awesome sprites for the game. I've been honoured to have her help, and I hope You guys will like the cool new art that she's prepared! Not only for the NPCs, but also some really awesome customization options for the Kittypet...

New big optional questline
It's been something that have been asked from the beginning - the ability to join other Clans. While I'd really want to do it, it would really quadruple my work, and I think I'd never got to finish the game! However, I did figure out that there may be one, very good alternative route that I may manage to handle in reasonable time and with fun content.
And that's the situation when You refuse to join the Clans, and decide handle Brute without help of unhelpful ThunderClan. Or not completely on Your own, since there are a bunch of other friendly kittypets, rogues and loners around, who may also not tolerate Brute's behaviour... But who may also not tolerate Your presence. I hope to get an hour to hour and a half of gameplay here. Including new characters, new skills, new locations and a bunch of new, cool quests. Now, I'm not going to spoil anything more...
Romance
I've promised to include that in Act I, and I'm going to deliver it in the next update. Not all that much stuff to say, but I thought it would be nice to confirm.
Oh, and since it's been dragging on for a while and with a lot of maybes, let's set a final release date of the update - 30th of September. See You then, and I hope You'll like it!
