A lot of people over on the discord were talking about how they had trouble becoming a medicine cat. I decided to try to see if I could become one myself and (following the old guide vaguely) I was able to become a medicine cat first attempt.
I wanted to post the guide I made to the forums since the old one does has some things that you don't have to do and might've needed a little more detail in some areas.
I hope this can help!
Day 1:
- Visit the elders, kits and Blackheart on the first day. Get Coltsfoot for Blackheart in the territory.
- Go see Kestrelpaw by the Sky Oak after the tour.
- Get Mosstail a new piece of prey when he complains.
- Train with Blackheart.
Day 2:
- When you get the chance, help Blackheart treat your friends.
- After this go listen to a story.
Day 3:
- Do the Fox battle. You should probably send back Badgerpaw as she will like that. Don't go back yourself as Kestrelpaw will die.
- Listen to a story.
Day 4:
- Listen to Kestrelpaw about the gathering.
- You can tell the kits the story but don't get things right or it will active Badgerpaw's questline.
- Train with Blackheart.
Day 5:
- Don't tell Blackheart about Badgerpaw wanting to be his apprentice.
- If Starclan objects you have to start over.
- Listen to a story.
- If you can, go to the dove's meeting.
Day 6:
- Don't eat cats in Voideyes Thunderclan.
- Train with Blackheart.
- Give your feathers to Redflower, Blackheart and Kestrelpaw. Offer one to Mosstail. You can give the last one to whoever you want.
Day 7:
- You can listen to a story or do final training with Blackheart.
EXTRA Notes:
- It's also good to save before hunting as catching every piece of prey is good for your clan rep.
- Try not to make any decisions that would be seen as reckless.
- It's a good idea to try and go for the peace ending while trying to become a medicine cat, as the more peaceful you are, the more likely you are to become a medicine cat.
- I'm pretty sure you can't be a hawk and be a medicine cat. (I haven't personally tested this so I may be wrong.)
