I was able to get all of these answers out of Duskpaw. Here is how to not screw up on Storyteller's Promise. If I did anything incorrectly, please tell me!

Here is what you need to know about the origin's story, the story of Firestar.

Firestar was born as a: Kittypet

Nightkit: What was his original name again? I forgot!

Select the name 'Sunny'

Eaglekit: Such a great cat had a great teacher, right? Who was it?

Select the name 'Whiteheart.'

Nightkit: But every hero has a bad guy to beat! Who was Firestar's greatest enemy?

Select the name 'Maplefrost.'

Eaglekit: Why was he a bad guy?

Select 'He tried to kill his leader.'

Nightkit: And he was revealed as the evil cat soon after! How was he punished?

Select 'He was exiled.'

Eaglekit: Is this how the story ends?

Select 'He allied himself with the twolegplace cats.'

Eaglekit: But I thought it was about the evil Scourge? Please tell me more about him!
Nightkit: What did he look like?

Select 'He was a huge black cat.'

Eaglekit: But how did Firestar win this? He did win, didn't he?

Select 'All the clans united against the common threat.'

Nightkit: What's the moral of the story?

For this, you have to figure it out yourself, as Duskpaw will refuse to say. Your best bet would be to select 'You have to figure it out on your own,' as that is what Duskpaw tells you when you ask him to tell it.
