With the work on the first Act almost done (the next patch will probably be the last), let's talk about what's coming with the second Act.
Parts of the Act II may take prolonged place outside the Clan territory, and require to set up a temporary camp. If the player is found capable and willing to lead on such a mission, it will give the player a variety of options.
On the more aesthetic level, the expedition leader will be able to decide where the dens in the camp zone will be placed, and to who they will belong to. There will be also an option to add some decorations to further customize how their camp will look like.
More importantly to the player's mission, though, is handling the group's activities, supplies and diplomacy. To keep up with longer missions, it will be necessary to keep everyone fed, healthy and safe. Even though camps may provide a good defensive positions, there's always a risk of a threat appearing. The expedition leader will be able to assign cats to task they find most urging. Not every cat is equally good at every task, and figuring out the strength and weakness of the cats with You will be a big help. It's important to manage available resources and use them to proper end. Otherwise the mission may end prematurely...
The Clans and the expedition are not the only groups in the world of Warriors. Rogues, Loners, Kittypets and other organized cat groups may show up, and dealing with them is a necessity in the life of a travelling warrior. And since cats are territorial creatures, they may not exactly be happy to see Warriors on their land... The groups, apart from outright hostility, may instead limit Your rights on their territory. Ignoring them is not impossible and may sometimes be a necessity, but be prepared for retaliation. Not to mention, You can't please everyone... But if You can help someone, maybe they'll be willing to help You in return. Or, if worse comes to worst, You may always request a favour from them, to help get back on Your paws.
All the helpful information will be displayed in the new menu, and it's also the place from which You'll be able to command Your cats.
Some screenshots of the management menu:
Though, if player is not willing to manage the group, there will always be another cat who's willing to take charge and lead the group instead, so this part of the game will be optional. Not that it will be without consequences...
That's it for this month! If You have any questions or suggestions, I'd be happy to take them into consideration (just don't expect much spoilers).
