Ever since the release of the first act, I've received a fair amount of feedback. I'm grateful for the kind words and for the helpful criticism that helped me improve the game. But most of the changes so far have been pretty small, mostly bug fixes or tiny feature additions. But underneath all this, I think there's some room for bigger improvements, but they'd also take a bit of work. But I think that doing some work on the final content patch for Act I is worth it. So let's talk about what it's going to contain. First Demo and First Act. I think there's a very noticeable quality jump from the content that was in the first demo (days 0-3) and the rest of Act I (days 4-8). This is especially visible in the quest section of the game, where there's only a single sidequest prior to the fox battle. And some parts of the game tend to drag on for a bit, especially on second and next playthroughs. I think it would be beneficial to smoothen the gameplay narrative in this aspect a bit, to provide a better introductory experience for the players. To be more specific, I plan to add a few extra quests in the first three days. Character Creation The code used in the custom creation of the was written back in 2015, and it was meant to be a quick and rough proof of concept. However, for multiple reasons, it was kept in its hacky way up until now. For various reasons, maintaining and expanding it took increasing effort, so I did what I planned to do from the start and rewritten most of it. What this means for the game? Well, hopefully there will be no visible effects to the players, since the system is supposed to work the same way it did before. But it helps me a lot in adding new features, or coding of the content related to player sprites. So to celebrate that a few new choices in the aspect of character creation were added ( TheCommonStray helped a lot with the art). Act II content. Many of the features mentioned in the previous diaries are going to be integrated into Act I. Things like passives for characters (which both expand options for the main character, as well as provide clarity for the party members) and visual improvements should have been in there from the start, and there's no reason to wait with Act II with their inclusion. So, hopefully, the next update will come out soon... Aside from things mentioned above, I'd like to add something special (and it's a rather 'big' special) to the next update, as well as something that has been promised to be in Act I from the start... If You have any other requests or wishes, feel free to mention them now. A random screenshot of contemplating the life with Reedpaw:

Can anyone do me a favor and summarize that? It's like 2 am over here and I can't understand anything for some reason. ๐๐๐

Same! But anyway, the cat that's talking with the former RiverClan cat in the background looks a lot like my OC,Silverpaw! Except Silverpaw has a silvery-grey tail-tip and silvery-gray ear-tips.

Leonard is saying that the first 3 days, or the demo, is lacking compared to the added days/rest of Act I. From what I understand he wants to improve the dialogue in the demo/3 days to introduce the game better to new players. He states specifically that he'll add more quests in the demo/3 days section. In Character Creation Leonard is talking about how the making of the character creation was quick and rough; like when you draw an outline or write a rough draft. He rewrote the code because it was difficult to add more customizations, from what I understand. In Act II content he's just saying the things mentioned in previous DD will be added and will improve some visuals. That's just how I interpreted what he said, I may have misunderstood some things so don't take my word completely. Hopefully that summary will help you guys get it ^.^

I have one small suggestion, purely for roleplay: let the kittypet remove his(her) collar after the first day, if (s)he decided to keep it on the day 0. Character development is real. Not insisting, just requesting.
Also, a wild guess: romances confirmed? It's big and promised from the start.

Sure for the collar removal!
Also, the 'big special' and 'the thing that was promised from the start' are two separate things. Doesn't mean that the other thing is small...

On the second thought, maybe giving the option to remove the collar should better be given after the warrior ceremony or at the end of fifth day... First day is a bit early, I think.

I doubt it's romance, because if I remember correctly, it'll take 30% of playthrough, which I think means you'll need all of the game in order to have complete romance. There may be bits and pieces of romance though. Back in DD #9 in the Act I archive, it's mentioned that minigames can't be added until the 2nd act of the game. That makes me think minigames are highly likely to be one of the things Leonard is referring to. Just throwing out some ideas, I may be way off.

Well, regarding the minigames, the only one mentioned that wasn't implemented would be the tag minigame (You can go fish hunting as an activity with Kestrelpaw in A Wild Idea), although Leonard may have came up with more ideas in the meantime, so we'll wait and see.
