While the new update is still in progress and will hopefully be released soon, let's get back to talking about stuff coming out in the second act. The structure of act I was tightly divided into separate days, and within these days into few parts. That made it easy to miss some quests or be unaware of their existence - and made some potential solutions difficult, because the timing could be tricky. Most of this will be gone in Act II. Most of the changes in the locations will now be tied to player activities within them, rather than the storyline progression. Storyline will also be a bit more flexible, with player being able to choose the order in which they will accomplish things. I hope that will provide a better gameplay experience. Unlike Act I, player won't be tied down to ThunderClan territory, and will be able to visit, explore and contest nearby areas. To facilitate mobility across the territories, there will be a new map available, and player will be able to use it to quickly move between the areas. The map will also display some information about the area (See DD#12 for some more information about it), including the current group that controls the territory, as displayed on the map. Journal will also point to the relevant areas, so finding out where to look for quests should be easier. There will be many new locations, and a lot of action is going to happen in them... But more about that at some later time. Meanwhile, have a screenshot of the map:

Does this mean that in the future, we can travel to other clans?

If we are required on a patrol and you are not a senior warrior, will you still control it?

Please note that it's not the complete map - the whole things doesn't fit in one screen... If we are required on a patrol and you are not a senior warrior, will you still control it? It depends.

If there's something interesting going to happen, player will usually retain agency, even if they really shouldn't be deciding cat (it's like that in the released part of the game, with player making some choices that logically someone else should make.) I think that makes for the better player experience.
