The option to play as a rouge if you get caught stealing shadow clan herbs instead of it just being game over?

Stealing herbs isnt a instant game over (though good luck getting peace), if you break the warrior code enough times your exiled, ending the game

I was really shocked when it was a game over for my character just for taking herbs from a border that is notorious for not being clearly marked, especially since your character has only been an apprentice for a few days with no prior knowledge of the warrior code. I wasn't even aware that the herbs I picked where from ShadowClan. Considering all the other things your character helps with I would think they would be more lenient with you.
Seems like a cowardly move to kick out an apprentice just to appease ShadowClan. Definitely lost respect for all the characters who suddenly turned on me for trying to do the right thing.
Needless to say I was pretty disappointed that I had to start a completely new game just because of that. Wish you could at least have a chance to defend yourself.

I agree that's worth reconsidering at least slightly. While I like that there's a big potential blunder to make, I think that it's too easy to miss or forget about the border, and the consequences are so delayed that it may feel very unfair. And it's one of the very few scenes that may end in insta-loss.
I'll think about finding a good way to adjust this.
