Hey! I've been following this game from when it first started (I made a thread about hunting tips!) to now. I've started my own game (Like last night haha) and I'm trying to find tilesets, sprites, etc. I want this game to be big. I love games with choice and dialogue, so I plan on making this a dialogue heavy game with at least two choices to respond with. I have a story in mind, and some features I know I can do.
Some ideas:
Fur will grow after a few days. If your fur is long, you have defense bonuses while short fur will give you agility bonuses. (Already have sprites). In order to trim it, I'm thinking that you can find a twoleg, or maybe share tongues with another cat? I'm also leaning towards having the player rub against thorns nearby the camp in order to trim fur.
The ability to have two origin stories (maybe more). This means you can either be born without clan blood or in the clan. (So a kittypet/rogue, or born in the clan. I'm still deciding on whether you are born IN the clan or from a different clan).
I loved the relationship choices in RTI. With my dialogue heavy plan, I want to be able to enhance this aspect without watering down dialogue that many AAA games provide. I have plenty of freetime and energy to do this.
You won't be the main character, rather a side character chosen to aid in your companion's quest. I hate constantly having to do all the grunt work as the chosen one. Spoiler ish?: You will become the "chosen one" eventually, when the real chosen one dies. Will this be by your hand, or some other force of nature?
Right now, I'm asking for tips and possibly suggestions. I have taken note that sometimes, projects just fall through. I want to build up a basic structure before adding on details. I'm a bad learner though, so the main features I've included are ones I want to work towards and play around with. It will take awhile for me to get a hang of the bigger stuff, but I won't give up!
