How do you become Blackheart's apprentice?

What Leafstep said is about right. There are other hidden factors involved, and I think you have to save both kits.
Also, Badgerpaw takes priority over the player, so she will become the medicine apprentice over you if you complete Legends Come To Life.

Quick question, when does Badgerpaw tell you to ask to become the medicine cat apprentice.

She gives You this quest on the day You go to Moonpool, shortly after You wake up. She only does it if she trusts You, though.

There are three main opportunities to get Badgerpaw's trust:
- After the first day, she will ask about Your kittypet life. This may change what she thinks of You. - Your actions during the Fox scene may affect her trust. - The day after the fox battle, You can pick an apprentice to go on a patrol with You. If You pick Badgerpaw, You have some opportunity to talk.

Thanks Leonard!
One more question: How many times can you train with Blackheart. Can I only train with him twice or more than that. Also the game is amazing.

How do you make badgerpaw blackhearts apprentice?

How do you make badgerpaw blackhearts apprentice? I'd have to check all of the event flags, because I'm not sure about a couple of triggers. However, here's a rundown. Make sure to be playing the latest update, since the earlier version is somewhat bugged. - Befriend Badgerpaw and tell her good things about kittypet life. Treat her well. - Sometime in the first three days, ask the elders to tell you Firestar's story. It will be hilariously inaccurate, because a lot of time has passed since then, and the story has gotten muddled as it was passed down. - On Day 2, make sure at least one of the kits (but preferably both) live. - On Day 4, Badgerpaw will ask you to ask Blackheart to take her as an apprentice. Ask Blackheart, and report back to her. - Also on Day 4, the kits will ask you to remind Mosstail to tell them the story of Firestar. This starts the quest, "The Storyteller". However, Mosstail is too sick to tell the story, so you have to tell the story instead. Tell the kits the same inaccurate story that the elders told you. - On Day 6, Badgerpaw will ask you for your help as you head out, beginning a new quest, "A New Legend Begins". Remember to complete the quest before you rest in your nest. - On Day 7, Badgerpaw will ask for your help after you train with Thrushfeather. This starts her Heroic Quest, "Legends Come to Life". - Go with Badgerpaw to the abandoned house and investigate. From there, just play through the story, and you'll eventually clear Legends Come to Life. Clearing this quest will make Badgerpaw realize her strength and become a medicine cat.

I'm not sure what I did wrong I did the first training session with Blackheart and helped him treat Kestralpaw's injuries after saving both the kits. I was asking him for lessons multiple times everyday but he would never agree usually saying something about being too busy. Then I asked him if Badgerpaw could be his apprentice and he denied and gave his speech about facing death as expected but when I asked him if I could be his apprentice he said that I was better material than Badgerpaw but the best I could do was just pass herbs so he said no.
What do I have to do to become Blackheart's apprentice any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

I think you have to train with him 2 (or 3?) times before the day you ask Blackheart to become his apprentice. You can basically train with Blackheart when the elders can tell you a story. Sometimes that doesn't work though. You can train with him after the fox fight or when you finished your duties the next day. Other than that you seem to be doing everything right.

Since players have figured it out mostly, I may as well reveal the details.
There are four necessary conditions for Blackheart to consider player there:
1. Complete at least three trainings (treating Kestrelpaw's injuries counts as a training). 2. Have Blackheart like You enough - if You've managed to get three trainings, he should like You enough, unless You managed to get him to dislike You later. 3. Have a very good reputation in the Clan - complete all Your duties dilligently and it shouldn't be a problem to nail this condition down. 4. Don't be cruel.
If You manage to fulfill them all, Blackheart will ask StarClan to accept You.
StarClan has only one condition. As long as player character has at least 50 luck, they will have no objections, but You won't become a medicine cat quite yet.
There is a final check at the end of the game with slightly tighter conditions. (Right after Briarstar tells how the conflict with ShadowClan ended). If You fulfill all the conditions there, You will become a medicine cat instead of a warrior.

I'm having the same problem as Silverfur. I've replayed the entire game three times in an attempt to become a medicine cat apprentice, but it always ends the same way. I trained with Blackheart after giving the elders prey at the beginning and tending to Badgerpaw and Kestrelpaw's wounds. I have asked him every time I completed a task to teach me more about herbs, but he always replies that he's too busy or has a lot on his mind. I brought him coltsfoot at the beginning as well, and I even tried using coltsfoot to help Kestrelpaw's breathing during the fox fight. What am I doing wrong? I befriended Badgerpaw as well, so she's not the problem. Help, please?
