Patch 1.01 Patch is up. All the links now point to the updated version, but for convienience, here's the link to the download. Saves from 1.00 should be working. Please report any encountered problems. Balance changes: Adrenaline rush base heal nerfed (20->10) Acrobatic Strike speed increased (10->15) Bear Stance scaling improved (2%->2.5% of max hp) Heroic Assault damage slightly lowered. Fox slightly buffed. Rats slightly nerfed. Boss battle with rats is slightly easier. Sootleg nerfed. Player is now healed before the interlude. Presentation: Battle trance and Clawdancer stance now properly refer to energy as EN. Modified the journal entry for First Patrol quest, to make it more clear where Thrushfeather is. (Doesn't apply to savegames started in 1.00). Fixed some typos. There is now a background to tiger fight. Fixed bugs: Joining the fight against the Tiger with Kestrelpaw now no longer gives player Kestrelpaw until end of the game. Player will now be given Blackheart if he chooses him during the Moonpool section. Fixed the progression of Legends Comes to Life quest. Fixed the dancing scene. Fixed some minor errors. New features: Added the allegiances menu. It lets you see all the cats that you've talked to. Works in the old saves, but starts empty. Will keep track of more notes in the future version.

Hello! I've just discovered your game a while ago, and I have to say, it's amazing, and I can't wait for more! Thank god for Sootleg's nerf. I had to redo the battle so many times because Nettleclaw my shadow destroyerkept on losing all her HP before I could do anything. Hopefully it'll be easier for others to defeat Sootleg! Thank you for all your hard work making the game. It's super enjoyable and I'll definitely be replaying it! Hopefully I can keep Nightkit alive ;; I'm sure there's also a lot of side quests I've missed as well. Legends Come to Life is one I don't think I've seen! And a Tiger fight?

Thanks for the kind words!
Sootleg was meant to be the bonus boss of the first act (You don't even have a choice of fighting her unless You manage to score the best ending against the fox), so she's meant to be extremely difficult, but she was way over the top. The battle is probably still too hard, but should be more managable.

Oh! I didn't know that! The buff for the fox seems to be a good idea. The battle seemed relatively easy, and though it was nice, I do enjoy challenges haha. xD Yes, Sootleg was really difficult, and after a couple of replays I realized there was pattern to her moves and you had to go with a certain tactic, maybe cats too? I don't think I could've done the battle without sending Kestrelpaw back, which made her hate me in the end ahh ;; Aggro was extremely important as well like hinted at from the very beginning. The fight was very entertaining, and I admire all the effort you put into the battle system. The first few battles of the entire act were easy, but as you progressed to the other battles, you needed a plan and really needed to know exactly what moves you were planning ^^
Thank you for your hard work towards this game! Act 1 with all of its drama, intriguing plot, and fun definitely leaves me wanting for more. I have so many questions ahh xD

Oh, I mean him. I keep on forgetting all the genders of the cats haha ^^' Maybe with more playthroughs they'll start to stick with me and I'll adore them like my own characters Oh, I was wondering if I could make a guide anywhere? Nothing that specific, but for the battle with Sootleg might I be able to list a few points or tactics that I remember using that helped me win against her? If it would be a problem, I understand! :>

Fox used to be more challenging in the first, but a lot of players found that battle to be more too difficult and frustrating, so it had to be made easier. The game is supposed to be fun, after all. I think I overdid it for 1.00 of Act I, and with 1.01 it should still be managable, although with slightly more challenge.
Feel free to post a guide! I'm sure a lot of players would appreciate it.

Okay, I'm going to start another game, and this time I'll choose a different appearance and name for my cat. Starting afresh here. And perhaps this time I'll actually reach the end. I was progressing so slowly earlier... (sigh)
