Stormpaw flicked his ears. "Ok. Ok. Ok," he grunted. "And I was talking to Sootfang. And it was supposed to be a joke," he mewwd, continueing to scramble up the tree.

Fogheart avoided his leader's gaze. ,,I'm fine , although a bit of help is necessary.'' His eyes widened , however when he heard Hawkstep's exclamation. He shuddered , foxes weren't the best news.

Fawnheart blinked open her eyes and yawned. Sunshine was already welcoming from the far-off exit out of the tunnels. Had she really overslept? Again? She was convinced these kits were making her lazy. She let out a purr as she stretched, her mouth very dry. She pawed a small patch of dust from her nose. Fawnheart was desperate to haul herself up and find herself a juicy piece of prey, but she was still drowsy. Besides, what she still allowed to do that? She wasn't sure.

{That sounds good! Though a place like the Moonstone hasn't been discovered yet - I thought it would be cool to have whoever was med. cat or med. cat appretnice find it during the roleplay} {Though, they may consider being really high up to be close to the stars, therefore close to StarClan}
Aspenstar Aspenstar's heart dropped at the news. His Clan was in danger! I won't let that foul creature harm my Clan! "There's four of us, we can definitely take out a fox," proclaimed the gray tom. "We'll sneak up on it and drive it off." His fur was bristling again, and his pupils were little slits. "Let's go scout this fox out." In the excitement of the news of a fox, Aspenstar had completely forgotten about the thorn in Fogheart's nose. He lashed his fluffy tail as he marched in the direction Pigeonwing had come from.
Sootfang Sootfang remained silent as Hollyfrost scolded her Apprentice, and as he refuted her words. Huh. Is she insecure and feels like she doesn't get enough respect? I thought it was obvious he was joking. Though, she did backtrack. "Poppy seeds are in the deeper parts of the forest. Coltsfoot is over by the river." The dark gray tom flicked his tail to indicate where the river was.

PigeonWing followed his leader. Foxes were dangerous. I don't know if we can take it out. As PigeonWing followed him, he wondered if he should call Sootfang. All warriors were needed for this. "Hey Aspenstar," PigeonWing asked, "Should I call for Sootfang? I feel like all warriors will be needed for this fox."

Aspenstar The gray tom paused, assessing his Warrior's words. Having more paws would be nice... "No, he's the only Warrior who is in the camp. We need someone there, just in case. At least, he was when we left. Hopefully he didn't go too far." Aspenstar's tail swished, and he nodded slowly. "It'd take too much time. We need to take care of this as soon as possible."

"If you say so Aspenstar, but I don't think he will be happy." They marched on for a while, before the scent got stronger.
"Quick, we're close."

(Eww, so Hollyfrost's reaction sounded awkward? Well, that's so me.)
Hawkstep ran after her leader and the two other warriors, her paws hitting the ground at an incredible speed. The excitement of novelty was already fading away, letting worry take its place. Hawkstep knew how foxes could be dangerous, how they could kill cats. Hopefully, it was only one, and there would be enough of them to chase it away. She began to smell the fox's horrendous scent, and knew they were getting closer. She slowed down slightly, trying not to make a sound. No more place for fear, now comes the time of fighting.
Hollyfrost stared awkwardly at her paws, before leaping off the branch to lower one, then to the ground. Did I sound inappropriate? Dear Starclan, help my social skills! -Okay, Stormpaw, we're going. Do you know how to gather herbs, or do you want me to show you? She flicked her tail towards Clanmates, telling them to follow her. She walked back to her apprentice. -Hey, you're not mad at me? It'd be pretty bad, since you'll probably have to bear me for quite a while.

"Nope. Show me!" Stormpaw called back to his mentor. Then tipped his head as his mentor paced back to him. "Nah. I get it all the time. I guess you'll just have to get used to me!"

{Sootfang thought Hollyfrost's reaction was because she doesn't like being disrespected and isn't sure of herself, but he thought it was obvious Stormpaw was joking and wasn't sure if she realized it was just a joke or not. Though, hearing her backtrack made him think she just wasn't sure he was joking or not} {It wasn't really awkward, just showing a possible character flaw, and Sootfang is adamant about learning others' flaws}
Aspenstar The gray tom slowed down, wrinkling his nose at the repulsive smell. Aspenstar crouched down and carefully progressed, wanting to spot the creature before it saw them. Great StarClan, this thing reeks. Mink said foxes smell horrible, but I'd never imagine this. Aspenstar felt a brief pang of heartache at the thought of the old tom. The only reason his Clan was possible was because of the stories he told; brave and honorable Warriors with their wise and just leaders. It also reminded him of his sister. The gray tom let out a quiet sigh, looking over his shoulder at his Clanmates. "Get down and be quiet. Let's figure out where this thing is."
Sootfang The dark gray tom followed suit after Hollyfrost as she jumped down the branches to the forest floor. He paused briefly before taking one last leap to the ground, admiring what he could see of the territory from his perch. Sootfang leapt down and winced, his sore muscles screeching at him. Maybe I should of gone slower. He stretched out his front legs, trying to lessen the pain. He lashed his tail as they still ached and were bothering him. Get over yourself, Sootfang. You got work to do. He took a few quick steps to get behind Stormpaw and Hollyfrost. Sootfang didn't catch what the two Medicince cats said, but since they didn't look at him he assmued they were talking to each other and didn't matter whether he heard or not.

Fogheart watched as his leader took off after the scent. Guess the thorn will have to wait... He thought and stubbornly followed his leader through the forest.

Hawkstep stepped slowly towards the fox scent. The den must have been close, as the smell was getting stronger and stronger. She finally manage to spot a hole under a tree's roots, large enough for a fox to pass in. It was certainly the entrance. She lashed her tail to call out her Clanmates. -Aspenstar! Fogheart! Pigeonwing! I think I found the den! Her fur bristled even more and she lept a few mouse lenghts backwards as she noticed a fox's long muzzle pointing out of the den. She let out the fiercest hiss she could, unseathing her claws, preparing herself to attack.
Hollyfrost chilled out at her apprentice's answer. Ah, we'll get to talk about those herbs... Finally something I'm good with. She trotted forward, seeing the river in the distance. As she approached, she sniffed around to catch the scent of coltsfoot. She couldn't notice its smell, though she spotted some Talonclan scents, including her sister's. The hunting patrol might have passed there... She looked back to Sootfang and Stormpaw. -Hey, Sootfang, which direction is coltsfoot at? Stormpaw, if you spot some, tell me. It has big, yellow flowers, and has a rather sweet smell.

"You got it!" Stormpaw called back, before plunging his nose into a fern bush and rummaging with his nose through the undergrowth, searching for a flower that fit his mentor's description.

(Okay, I won't be online for a few days, so, plz don't let this thread die out right now! ) Hollyfrost stepped slowly towards the river's shore. She tried to sniff around once more, but didn't manage to catch any coltfoot scent. She examined a patch of marshy soil, and noticed familiar bristly rods. She sniffed the plant, recognizing the scent. -Strompaw, come here! I found some horsetail!

Stormpaw shot his head up from the fern bush he was digging through at his mentor's voice. Bounding towards Hollyfrost, Stormpaw slowed as he too scented the smell of horsetail. "That's great!" he purred, leaning down to sniff at the plant.
